Davis and the other digidestined have returned to the real world after being in the digiworld. Yolei wants to go to the digiworld but Izzy tells her that the gate to the digiworld is closed and that they can't go back until tomorrow. Later that night Yolei is at Cody's house fixing his computer while Cody is practicing Kendo. At the same time, they are both thinking about the Digiworld. That same night, the old digidestined are reunited except Mimi to discuss the situation. They decide to go back the next day. They next day, everyone is ready to go when one of the teachers comes by. Tai destracts him and the others go into the digiworld. The digidestined yell for their digimon and Veemon is the first to appear. Behind him is Gatomon, Patamon, Biyomon and Tentomon. The digimon emperor has expected for the digidestined to come so he sends Snimon, Drimogemon and Moyjamon to attack them. Drimogemon drills a whole in the floor and Davis falls in. Moyjamon uses his bone to knock Veemon into the hole. Yolei and Cody now want to go back home after all this happens. Izzy says they have to protect themselves. Davis is seen stuck on the side of a cliff after he i captured by the emperor. Veemon is also there.

The other digidestined are walking through a forest when the digivices starts to beep. The signal is coming from a nearby temple and everyone goes up into it. At the top, there are two new digieggs. Sora and Izzy try to remove it but can't. They suggest that Yolei and Cody try. Yolei and Cody are successful in removing them and then two new digimon appear,Hawkmon and Armidillomon. Sora convinces Yolei that she has to fight and help her friends and Izzy tells Cody that if he need help and knowledge, he can ask him. The digieggs then are opened and Hawkmon and Armidillomon armor digivolve into Halsemon and Digmon. They then set off to find Davis. The digimon emperor wants to make Veemon one of his slaves and sends a dark ring after him. Before it reaches him, Halsemon uses his Tempest Wing to destroy it. Digmon then comes and and frees Veemon. Gatomon then appears in front of the digimon emperor and is about to attack when Wormon comes. Gatomon uses her Lightning Claws to knock Wormon into the emperor, also knocking the digivice out of his hands.

The emperor calls Snimon, Drimogemon, and Moyjamon again. Veemon armor digivolves to help out. They each attack one digmon and destroy the dark ring. THe digimon become good again. The digidestined then go through the portal back to the real world. Even the digimon come except Biyomon and Tentomon.
